Prayer Services in the Indian Context

Description

The prayer services have been written from the perspective of Christian faith on the issues vital to the dalits, most backward castes, adivasis and women who constitute the majority of the oppressed in India. The prayers are also based on important biblical themes which have been viewed in the context of the oppressed and religious pluralism in India. In addition tor eadings from the O.T and the N.T readings from the dalit, adivasi and bhakti traditions have also been used. These prayer services will help Christian families, communities and inidividuals pray in the context of India.
